There are 11 parks that span over 100 acres of land in the Crook County Parks and Recreation District. The district coordinates recreation programs and maintains the heated outdoor swimming pool. There is a walking/bicycle path that runs east/west, spanning 2.5 miles through the center of town and through Ochoco Creek Park.
Prineville Reservoir State Park welcomes visitors who want to boat, swim, fish or just picnic or camp at the reservoir. Ochoco Reservoir also offers camping and fishing just six miles out of town. Just minutes out of town, the Lower Crooked River has been designated as one of the BLM’s National Wild and Scenic Rivers.

Whether you are a scratch golfer, weekend player or getting serious about the game, you’ll find your niche at Meadow Lakes, the public green in Prineville.
